Introduction
The full technical specification deals with all aspects of the decoder series by AX4A. The purpose of this page is to provide technical information that would not normally be found in the technical specification. This includes technical information and clients requirements.
                   DB1000 Decoder
AX4A produce Datacast decoders which receive and decode data carried within a standard television signal. The data transmission is known as Datacasting. The data is carried within the VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval) and transmitted by the television broadcasting companies using the WST (World System Teletext) signal. It is received using an aerial feed, decoded by the DB1000 Decoder which then enables the reception/display of real-time information directly to Personal Computers or Laptops. Being fast and easy to install, the unique address is pre-configured at our factory. Automatic scanning of channels provides a quick and convenient link to your Service Provider. Despite the current trend for 'internal' everything for computers, our clients have found that the external convenience cannot be matched for either PC or Laptop. The ease of using a standard RS232 interface has enabled the DB1000 to establish itself within the field of real-time data decoders
